Thanks . I hope youre right . I got a new inverter welder with 4 functions mig , mag , mma stick , tig . The mig and mag are to do with the inert metal or gases . The google is hundreds of contradicting stories . My instructions only said mag was negative electrode no gas . But i have a lot of spatter and cannot see the puddle . Only see the arc . I can switch easy enough . So i think of it as a lightenig gun . Zap zap negative to remember Thank you again

I realize your video is 9 years ago, BUT still very relevant as, on one side on rear of Hyundai Elantra (2016)I had a rusted, stripped screw , tried heat , hammer method, impact driver etc etc and ended up drilling out and new rotor screw luckily partially took. So off to the other side, again rotor screw rusted in place, tried handheld impact driver and it simply sheared the screw, so put tire back on and took the night to review my options as worried may not be as lucky trying to drill out without damaging the threads. In the same evening found your channel and video, went out following morning, followed your technique and son of a gun if not after about 10 minutes did it not start turning, so a big thank-you !!l for sharing your expertise and taking time to video it. yeah all good except my 97 EK civic (Australia) has a stabiliser bar that prevents the wishbone from dropping out! yours didnt have one? Having said that it was only an extra 4x12mm bolts to move aside. Thanks for the video ... it saved me... i would probably have destroyed a balljoint without it!

after cleaning up the resistor and female side block connector it worked fine... important thing to ask here..I noticed the resistor gets very hot....so I fitted a new resistor..and same..get very hot.. is this normal?

Great video. If like me you didn't understand the 1 minimum requirement at the beginning of the video it's clearer around the 12 minute mark.

my welding is lots of splatter and the weld is just little balls is the polarity wrong my gun is poss n ground is neg

I have a Jegs Mig 100 flux core welder. I opened it up, and everything is hardwired. So I didn't change the polarity, because I was afraid of vouding the warranty. The machine makes terrible spatter, but I don't know anyway to change the polarity without butchering the machine. Any suggestions?

I took my caliper apart, clean it, put silicone grease on the seals, put it back together. works fine now. cost me maybe 1 cent worth of grease.

Thank you thank you Back Street Mechanic - great fix. Had the same issue on my fiat punto evo....initially sent to garage to fix 3 months ago, which they did and charged me royally. It went again today whilst out on a drive with my son who is using the car for his test tomorrow. Followed your instructions and works like a dream. HOW EASY!!! Wont be putting it on setting 4 thats for sure. Thanks again

I have same issue with mine . Exact model . I removed rear motor cover and squirted 99% alcohol there and brushed with tiny paint brush . Seems to have cleaned it up and solved the issue . Make sure completely dry before using and remove the battery of course .
